Effective 21 September 2026
When you first open the app it creates an anonymous account — a random id, nothing that identifies you. Against that id we keep the sentences you make and save, the scripts you build, how many sentences, letters and spoken characters you have used this month (so the monthly allowance works), and how much AI processing your requests took, counted in numbers only, never the text, the language you chose, and the fact that you confirmed you are 13 or older. This is stored on Supabase servers in the United States.
To turn your message into Korean, the app sends the text you typed, the situation you picked, and the member name you entered (if any) to our server, which passes them to Anthropic's Claude API. Your account id is not sent with it. We do not keep a copy of your text in our logs.
To play a Korean line in a natural voice, the app sends that Korean line to our server, which asks Google Cloud Text-to-Speech to turn it into audio. Your account id is not sent to Google. We keep the resulting audio file so the same line never has to be made twice; the file is stored under a code made from the text itself, not linked to your account. If our server cannot be reached, your phone's own voice reads the line instead and nothing is sent.
Rehearsal uses your phone's own speech recognition. Rehearsal never records your voice, and no recording of it is ever sent to us or stored on our servers. When your phone has the Korean recognition model installed, the listening happens entirely on the device; if it does not, your phone may send the audio to Apple or Google to turn it into text, under their own privacy policies. From all of that we keep only the text that was recognised and how closely it matched the line you practised.
You can also record your own voice next to a sentence, to hear yourself say it. Those recordings are saved on your phone only. They are never uploaded to us, and you can delete them one at a time or all at once in Settings; deleting the app or your account removes them too.
Entries you add to the expression dictionary are public: the expression, the meaning you wrote, your example sentence and the nickname you chose are visible to other people in the app. Do not put anything private in them. Entries are checked automatically before they appear, and anyone can report or hide them.
If you report a sentence the app wrote, we keep the report with that Korean sentence, the reason you picked and any comment you add, so we can improve the app. The report stays even if you later delete the sentence, and is deleted with your account.
Subscriptions and the fansign pass are handled by the App Store or Google Play. We never see your card details; we only receive whether your plan is active.
You can delete your account in Settings. Your sentences, scripts and rehearsal records go with it. Dictionary entries stay so the dictionary keeps working, but they lose any link to your account and your nickname is removed.
This app is for people aged 13 and over and is not directed at children.
